Hello all.

I just discovered that MOPT has an online appointment system for your (dear) car inspection appointment.

We all know that the inspection is due on the month of the last digit of your plate number, AND that you cannot renew your plate, "marchamo" in December without having passed the inspection. OBTW did you know that you cannot renew your marchamo online after December 14th?

Here is the link to the online appointment system. It is only available in Español, however it is easy to understand, or go to google and put the web site in for their translation.

Go to the right panel and click on the location you prefer, for example Nicoya, and a balloon pops up with the phone number for the appointment, OR a link. For example this link is for Nicoya: Solicitar cita previa en esta estación which then, using java shows a calendar with available appointments in yellow.

Now, click on one of the available boxes, similar to choosing your airline seat assignment, and you are presented with two boxes. The top box asks for the plate number and a cellular telephone number. Fill these out and press [enviar] and you get your appointment confirmation.
